Amazing Double Glazing Company Pty Ltd

Terms & Conditions of Sale

These Terms & Conditions apply to all quotations, orders, supply and installation of windows, doors and glazing products by Amazing Double Glazing Company Pty Ltd (“Amazing Double Glazing”).

1. Product Description & Client Approval

Amazing Double Glazing will endeavour to accurately record all window and door styles, sizes, colours, glazing types, hardware and configurations as provided by the client. It is the client’s responsibility to carefully review and approve all details prior to manufacturing. Once manufacturing has commenced, changes may not be possible.

2. Quotation Validity

Quotations are valid for 90 days from the date of issue. If a deposit is paid within this period, the quoted price will remain fixed.

3. Variations

Any changes to the agreed scope of works must be approved in writing by both parties. Variations may result in price and/or delivery time adjustments.

4. Ownership of Goods

All products remain the property of Amazing Double Glazing until full payment has been received.

5. Glass & Product Standards

All glass units are supplied to industry accepted standards and are of merchantable quality. Minor cosmetic marks or blemishes within accepted industry tolerances do not constitute a defect. Amazing Double Glazing is not responsible for glass breakage after installation unless caused by installation workmanship. Nothing in these terms excludes the client’s rights under Australian Consumer Law.

6. Installation & Site Conditions

Amazing Double Glazing will take reasonable care during installation. Reveals and architraves (if supplied) will be provided in a primed, ready to paint condition. Any concealed or unforeseen conditions (including asbestos, rotten timber, steel lintels, water damage, brickwork, render or structural defects) discovered during removal or installation may result in additional costs. If such conditions prevent completion, responsibility rests with the client.

7. New Construction Installations

For new builds, Amazing Double Glazing installs frames into openings prepared by the builder. Amazing Double Glazing is not responsible for modifications to brickwork, cladding, framing or structural openings required to suit manufactured windows. Flashings, trims and corner covers are not included unless stated.

8. Supply Only & Builder Installations

Where products are supplied for installation by a builder or third party, Amazing Double Glazing is not responsible for incorrect installation, water egress, frame distortion or glass breakage caused by others. Warranty may be void where products are installed by third parties without written approval. If glazing is required after builder installation, all frames must be clean and free of debris. A cleaning fee of $30 per window may apply if this is not the case. Scaffolding and access are the builder’s responsibility.

9. Noise Reduction

Double glazed and acoustic products are designed to reduce noise; however, no guarantee is given as to the level of sound reduction achieved, as this depends on the building structure, installation environment and external noise sources.

10. Surveying & Final Measurements

All replacement installations require a final site measurement by an Amazing Double Glazing surveyor. These measurements determine the final manufactured sizes.

11. Payments

A 25% deposit is required to confirm the order. The balance is payable on the day of installation completion. Once manufacturing has commenced, deposits are non-refundable, as all products are custom-made specifically for the client.

12. Order Confirmation

Payment of the deposit confirms acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.

13. Installation Dates & Delays

Installation dates are estimates only. Amazing Double Glazing is not liable for delays caused by manufacturing, suppliers, shipping, transport, weather, industrial action, material shortages or other events beyond its control.

14. Removal of Existing Windows

Old windows and doors will be removed and disposed of unless the client requests otherwise. Products may not be removed in one piece.

15. Exclusions

Plumbing, electrical, plastering, painting, tiling, waterproofing, flooring and other trades are excluded unless specifically stated.

16. Permissions

The client confirms they have all required permissions, including body corporate, strata or building approvals, to allow Amazing Double Glazing to carry out the works.

17. Blinds, Curtains & Shutters

Removal, refitting or modification of blinds, curtains, shutters and security screens is the client’s responsibility unless otherwise agreed in writing.

18. Size Adjustments

Window and door installation may require blinds, shutters or screens to be resized or modified. Any associated costs are the client’s responsibility.

19. Insect Screens

Insect screens for doors may be supplied through external providers and will incur additional cost if required.

20. Door Thresholds

All doors supplied by Amazing Double Glazing include a threshold (sill) as part of their structural and weather proofing design. Threshold heights and styles vary depending on door type, building conditions and compliance requirements. Unless specifically stated in writing, doors are not supplied flush with floor level. Amazing Double Glazing is not responsible for step downs, floor level differences, water run off or compliance issues resulting from door thresholds.

21. Practical Completion

Once installation is completed and the client or their representative has had reasonable opportunity to inspect the work, the installation is deemed accepted.
